WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH
Feeling stuck or facing change
Life may look settled from the outside while you feel uncertain within it. Or a change may have left you questioning what comes next. You do not need a clear goal to begin counselling.
When life feels stuck
You may feel restless, find decisions difficult or keep putting off something that matters. Perhaps you no longer know what you want, or feel caught between different expectations.
Counselling gives you time to explore what might be keeping you in place, without pressure to make a major change.
Living through change
Separation, retirement, relocation, becoming a parent, changes in health or leaving a familiar role can affect your sense of yourself. Even a change you wanted can bring loss or uncertainty.
You can talk about what has ended, what feels unfamiliar and what you hope to carry forward.
Finding your own direction
With your counsellor, you can explore priorities, values and fears, and consider what a manageable next step might look like. You do not have to decide your whole future in a session.
The conversation can also make room for grief, relationships or other concerns that overlap with the change you are facing.
What counselling can and cannot offer
Counselling supports reflection and personal understanding. It does not provide career, legal, financial or housing advice, or guarantee a particular outcome. You may need practical help alongside the space to talk.
Getting started
You do not have to choose a topic or describe your difficulties perfectly before booking. We can find a counsellor for you, or you can choose a qualified associate counsellor from the directory.
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, online across the UK or face to face in Birmingham. Your first appointment is a chance to begin talking and see how it feels to work together.
