WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH
Bereavement and loss
Loss can change everyday life in ways that are hard to explain. Counselling gives you space to talk about what has happened and what it means to you.
Making room for your experience
After a death or another significant loss, feelings can change from day to day. You may experience sadness, anger, guilt, relief, numbness or a mixture of emotions.
Others may expect you to be coping while you are still finding your way. You do not need to justify how long something has affected you.
What you might want to talk about
Counselling can give you time to speak about the person or part of life you have lost, memories, unfinished conversations and changes in your role or sense of belonging.
Loss can also involve separation, miscarriage or major changes in life. Your counsellor can help you explore your experience without requiring you to move on or find a particular conclusion.
Finding support that fits
You can begin at a pace that feels manageable. If your needs involve urgent safety concerns or require specialist support beyond our service, we will discuss this with you.
Getting started
You do not have to choose a topic or describe your difficulties perfectly before booking. We can find a counsellor for you, or you can choose a qualified associate counsellor from the directory.
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, online across the UK or face to face in Birmingham. Your first appointment is a chance to begin talking and see how it feels to work together.
