WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH

Relationship and family difficulties

Relationships and caring responsibilities can bring comfort, strain or both. Individual counselling gives you space to think about your own experiences, needs and choices

When relationships feel difficult

You may be facing repeated arguments, distance, separation or uncertainty about trust and boundaries. Sometimes a familiar pattern keeps returning and you are unsure how to respond.

Counselling can help you explore what is happening from your perspective, without pressure to reach an immediate decision.

Parenting and caring pressures

Caring for children, relatives or someone who is unwell can leave little space for yourself. You may feel exhausted, guilty, resentful or alone with the responsibility.

You can talk honestly about these feelings without having to prove how much you care. Counselling can help you consider boundaries, expectations and the support you need.

What our sessions offer

We offer individual counselling for adults about relationship and family difficulties. The sessions focus on you; this page does not describe joint couples or family sessions.

You can explore communication, needs, patterns and choices. Counselling is not mediation, parenting instruction or legal advice, and it cannot guarantee a particular relationship outcome.

Getting started

You do not have to choose a topic or describe your difficulties perfectly before booking. We can find a counsellor for you, or you can choose a qualified associate counsellor from the directory.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, online across the UK or face to face in Birmingham. Your first appointment is a chance to begin talking and see how it feels to work together.
