Depression and low mood counselling

Support when motivation and meaning feel distant

Low mood can feel heavy, draining, or empty. You may feel withdrawn, numb, tearful, or critical of yourself — sometimes without a clear reason. Even everyday tasks can begin to feel like too much.

Counselling offers a respectful space to explore these experiences without pressure to “cheer up”, explain yourself perfectly, or force change before you are ready.

What this counselling focuses on

  • emotional heaviness, flatness, or numbness

  • loss of motivation, pleasure, or connection

  • self-criticism, hopelessness, or shame

  • making sense of what your mood may be responding to

  • rebuilding meaning and steadier self-support over time

Who this may be helpful for

This may help if low mood is affecting daily life, relationships, self-worth, or your ability to function as you would like.
